i. Elevated Normalcy:
Betas are the top tier in class because they are above the basic urges and impulses that Alphas and Omegas fall to. Betas will sometimes take an Alpha or Omega companion depending on if they'd like a soft homemaker or a loyal guard. Because Alphas and Omegas are "lower" they are socialized much like pets and slotted into specific roles depending on what they are. Sometimes Betas will even sign their companion up for a part time job that suits their inclinations, or place them in breeding programs if they have good genes or are well-learned in obedience and mannerisms.

ii. Flip the Script:
Omegas are a rare form of royalty class that are revered for their gentle and loving nature. In this structure Betas are common folk and Alphas are feared brutes — usually participating in gladiator style tournaments to be chosen as an Omega's guard and mate. It is up to you to decide if it is a monogamous ordeal, or if Omegas may have more than one lover due to the assumption about their needy nature.

[ Their odd relationship - not quite what a master and a pet really ought to be - has been established by now. Since the train. Since his arrival. Since he took liberties inside the confines of her western-style mansion, hidden away from the prying eyes of the world. Cu was fond of her, more than he could really bring himself to say aloud. Even if she was a loud-mouth and domineering and sort of a brat, he still knew that she was the person he'd be willing to lay his life down for. Simple as that.

Not that he said that out loud, he was pretty sure she wouldn't want to hear it. But... they had a strange sort of life. He did chores here and there - mostly upkeep on the yard, he wasn't exactly good at housekeeping - and he accompanied her at times when she went out. Despite the bristling at a lead and collar, he still submitted himself to it - with a little bit of grumbling. It stopped people asking questions.

It's another day. Sort of quiet and average and Cu - Cu is feeling restless. He wanders into the sitting room on his bare feet, eyes lighting up a little when he spots Rin perched on the sofa. She's - what? Reading or something. But that doesn't much matter to him at the moment. He knows she gets sort of irritated with him if he gets too demanding... but he's also been keeping out of the way for most of the morning and he's tired of just being in the background. At least for now.

So Rin finds herself with all of that big dog-person leaning over the back of the sofa and draping against her upper back, his chin settled on the top of her head as he peers down at her. ]

[ She probably is, but he's never let that stop him before. ]

[The plop of his chin on her head knocks Rin's glasses out of place on the bridge of her nose. They slide off slightly, and the pads notch against her nostrils. It's uncomfortable, and obscures her vision of the page.

Immediately she uses a finger to push it back up. Not starting off on the best foot, today buddy. A slight frown tugs at her features while she refuses to lift her eyes from the page.]

[ The fact that she's still trying to keep going, despite his intrusion into her personal space (and knocking her glasses askew) is amusing. At least to him. His weight shifts a little and he glances down at the book she's doing her best to read. He's not helping, is he? ]
