[A devilish smile cuts across her lips. Rin lets him see it fully before bringing her shochu up to drink as her blue eyes stare sharply with impish delight over the edge of her cup.]

I got one for Christmas, Henry's not into that sort of shit. Figured it would be a waste not to use it.

[Is he a little miffed that Henry's own issues with being called a dog stop him from treating Dodger like one? Absolutely. He's even more miffed that he has no one else to satisfy that craving with, since Esikko isn't speaking to him.]

[At this point it doesn't matter much to her. She hasn't needed to take a shot yet, so Rin counts that as winning.]

If I ever do anything to you, would you feel required to reciprocate? Like let's say I don't want you to scar my body, but I feel like putting out your lit cigarette on your skin. Something like that.

[She doesn't even mind being in pain, but her body is a tool she doesn't want altered without permission.]

Do you always want to take charge, or do you want to get put in your place sometimes?

I'll tell you what I've told everyone else who asks that question: I'm flexible. I don't have a shining personality, so I pretty much will do whatever my partner likes to make up for it. Otherwise I probably wouldn't be able to get enough cards to make it from month to month.

[Eating between questions has become habit now. A little bite here and there as she contemplates her answer or what she should ask next. Typically, with someone like him, she would have said she wants to be in charge always. However if he's a snoop like she is... well, she'd be caught in a lie.]

Does place matter much for you? Private, public, bed, bath, couch, et cetera?

I didn't ask what you do, I asked what you want.

No, place doesn't really matter. I like beds and baths, but I'd fuck you right here on the table if it's what you wanted. I had to be more careful back home, but I might as well enjoy the extra freedom.

[The fidgeting is getting worse, steadily. Dodger ends up picking up his spoon just to bend it into shapes, as easily as if it were made of paper.]

You're from pretty far in the future, compared to everyone here. Why don't my scars bother you?

[She could tell him what she told Dabi, and what she told Chobe. That scars were evidence of hardship and survival against adversity. That she admired people who kept marching on despite how the world tried to break or burn them. However she liked Dabi, and felt Chobe would have little reason to pit such admiration back against her. So instead...]

[Dodger tips his head, wondering at the fact that this is the line she's drawing. He sort of expected the usual reassurances - it's a sign of survival, battles overcome, proof that whoever did that to his face didn't get to finish the job. He's spoiled, maybe, hanging around so many people from times where scars were more common. Back home, everyone just them as a sign of how dangerous he was. They're clearly not from a work accident, after all.]

What makes your body so sturdy, hm?

I'm a mutant.

[He shrugs.]

In my world, people can be born 'normal' - humans - or their DNA can mutate. Mutants take all shapes, but they're treated the same. Like ticking time bombs. Public power usage is enough to lose your housing or your job, or get the police called on you if you're making enough of a scene. You can't imagine how freeing it is that no one gives a shit about it here.

[The spoon in his hands starts to heat up enough to glow, and he starts molding it more like clay. Into something fully unrecognizable.]

In my specific case, I've got super-strength and heat manipulation, and a couple other tricks. You can ask more questions if you want, I'll just match them after.

[Another 'fire' user... no wonder Chobe was so desperate for a rememdy for his weakness to fire aligned people. Other tricks certainly has Rin curious, but she refuses to chew on the same bone for long. Dodger may not be bright, but that just means she should be able to get away with simple cautions, not discard them.]

Do you visit the Ugly Duckling often?

[He shakes his head.]

Haven't been in there yet. I never went to school so the trappings aren't that interesting.

[Says the man who would absolutely be into age-play if someone introduced the concept to him.]

Two questions for you, then. What's the craziest sexual thing you've done? And is there anyone in the resort you don't think is worth the effort of getting their card?

Hm... the first answer is probably somewhere between getting fucked by a were-tiger trying to breed me, and getting pumped with eggs by the tentacle creature that lives in the caves by the spa. For the second? There were a bunch of guys that used to be here that touted themselves as idols. A group of all-style-no-substance idiots that couldn't interest me. I don't know if any of them are still left, though.

[His answer is a relief, though. She would loath to suffer under him playing as an instructor, and having to endure him as one of her students also sounds like a pain...]

Do you have any normal hobbies?

I do. And they're not your problem.

[But he's finishing his glass, just because that's pretty much a pass anyway.]

What did those eggs feel like?

[His answer comes swift with her holding out her glass for him to pour a shot she can take. That's a pass. The burn of the alcohol doesn't bother her, but with her dinner drink and her starting to get more than just the one pass... Well, her cheeks are a bit warm and colorful, but for now she still seems mostly put together.]

Who else is on your list of cards to collect?

[No surprise that she's only got a few passes in her. Dodger lets out a quiet huff of laughter, but he's decent enough not to comment on it. He just pours himself another glass to sip while he thinks.]

I don't have any specific prospects. I've got about half of Clubs, so I might as well keep looking for those. I've met a few Diamonds that seem interesting and they'd help me finish a set. But mostly, I've been collecting duplicates and helping other people get the cards they need.

[He couldn't care less about actually beating the game, even if he seems to be the best-equipped for it. He just wants to rank himself up and maybe get his phone back at some point.]

If you got the chance to leave and go home, would you take it?

[At least her eyes are still clear, and her gaze turns hard with focus and determination as she finishes off what is left of the spicy chicken dish on her plate.]

Not yet. I still have something left I need to do before I leave here. And you?

[He honestly finds that more interesting than 'yes' or 'no'. But he figures the details are not his business.]

No. I had some unfinished business back home, but it isn't worth living the rest of my life in that shithole of a world.

[A pause.]

Doesn't matter anyway. I'm destined to die and my clock's pretty much run out.

[He's kept fidgeting with that spoon-turned-molten-mess this whole time, and ended up actually molding something out of it. He sets it down on the table, now a slowly cooling metal cat figurine.]

Have you ever seen anyone here with a suit that acts different from everyone else's? I mean, past the first month or so?

No. I think I've seen people who sometimes have a minor secondary suit, or The House is playing a game that has you suffer the effects of suits not your own. Otherwise I think suits tend to be pretty consistent when simplified to a core aspect, and the people who fall within a certain suit's category all seem to share certain traits.

[Tohsaka shrugs with that. Despite the way the alcohol has warmed her to flush, she still seems pretty lucid and confident about the game. Perhaps it's because she has convinced herself that there's little he could ask about that she'd be determined to hide?]

What type of person turns you off?

[Interesting. He'd gotten the same answer from a few other people - no one has heard of suits deviating, not unless there's an arrival prank or a game going on. Which just adds to the idle wonder of why his own suit acts so goddamn weird.]

Not sure. Someone who's boring, I guess. No interests, no hobbies, no kinks. Most people are worth giving a shot, but I can't imagine wanting to make time for a complacent pencil-pusher.

[It's probably telling, just how boring someone has to actually be before Dodger stops digging for possible reasons to care.]

What's something that would turn you on, even if you were pissed off at the person doing it?
